In this early work, Claudia Hernández's work stands out for its intermediality, its pictorial nature drawing and photographic sensitivity in which time is condensed in a cinematic way on the canvas. Her volumes and gestural strokes were synchronized with European movements such as the transavant-garde of Mimmo Paladino or Enzo Cucchi, or the Neue Wilden (The New Savages, in reference to the savages of Franz Marc) by Markus Lüpertz or A.R Penk later, at the end of the nineties, his work leans towards a neat and luminous figuration, close to the wet painting of Alex Katz or Luc Tuymans, where his favorite themes are the monumental portrait, garden still lifes or wide views of cities such as New York, Bogotá or Madrid (where he lived for 25 years).
